Genevieve Yuen, MD, PhD
"I recently graduated from Cornell's general psychiatry residency program and am continuing my training here as a Geriatric Psychiatry Clinical Fellow. The program here at the Weill Cornell Institute of Geriatric Psychiatry offers a wide range of clinical experiences amidst a very academically rigorous and stimulating environment. The mentoring opportunities here are unparalleled. During my clinical training, I am also engaged in a clinical research project, studying the neurobiology of late life depression and of factors that contribute to treatment-refractory geriatric depression."

"I am working in the Department of Psychiatry at Weill Cornell as a Geriatric Psychiatry Fellow. I wanted to pursue my passion for Geriatric Psychiatry in an environment where I could augment my past clinical training by working with the best and the brightest in the field. The challenging academic environment and complex cases were the greatest attraction for me and led me my decision to pursue a fellowship at Cornell. The collaborative atmosphere presents the unique opportunity to further the pursuit of one's interest in a nurturing environment. Faculty involvement and interest in research projects help foster an environment of learning and lead the way to encouraging alternative modes of thinking which Cornell is known for."
